Friday Fashion Lovin’

New in-store for the weekend: This sweet delight is a fresh design from Melbourne Label Chocolate City, 146 Greville Street, Prahan: Paige Tee Dress

Hello Summer!

Today is a hot 35 degrees in Melbourne and I just can’t wait to dive into the cool waters of the nearest pool. Before I do, I just had to post these stunninig photographs of the new 2012 collection by Funky Trunks called Kings & Queens. I love how the dark background really adds punch to the colour of the swimwear. I’ve more photos on my Facebook page, so pop over there for some more swimwear fun. Enjoy the sunshine!

New location……….

One of my favourite Melbourne fashion labels has a new home. Clemente Talarico used to have a boutique at 228 Chapel Street and up for a fresh change has now moved a few doors down to 174 Chapel Street. We have a few shots of their new boutique pictured below. I been a fan of this menswear label and featured them in a piece I wrote for DNA Magazine.

Disclosure: I only write about labels I love!

I have to admit this pair of Clemente Talarico pants have become my favourite summer fashion staple. The fabric is soft and light, perfect for the summer heat. It’s the relaxed fit and rolled hem that give the pants a fresh look. The colour is bruise and not normally a colour I would wear. But that is what I like about fashion, as it’s always fun to step outside your comfort zone!

Winter will never be dull with you around….

OK, it’s the hottest month of summer in Melbourne and the shops are starting to fill with layers of gorgeous winter clothing. It’s right now a hot 32 degrees outside and all I’m craving is the cool waters of the nearest pool. I know the circle of fashion is weird but wonderful, so let’s get a quick snap of some winter fashion that is happening at New York Fashion Week – which is on as we speak. This collection by Karen Walker has really caught my eye – the mix of colour, detailed prints and quirky styling has me loving the coming season of fashion.

Stopping all stations direct to fashion

Friday Fashion Lovin’

It’s the weekend and let me introduce a few of my favourite fashion kicks that I have found during the week. This will become a weekly piece and they will be anything from the desirable to the weird, wacky or just plan awesome!

Just today I found my new winter boots. Ok, so it may be summer but in Melbourne the weather can change quicker than Julia Gillard doing a runner on Australia Day. This store I only discovered today in a beautiful laneway in the city. These boots are from Italian label Nylo and the photo does not do them justice as they need to be felt for the true feeling of how amazing they are. Found At: 124 Shoes, G4, 16-30 Russell Place, Melb, 3000

These satchels have become the quickest blast of colour to pop up all over the city. They have been selling out, so get in quick – if you see one snap it up! I first saw them in a store on Greville Street, went back two days later and the orange one was no longer available and they were waiting for more to arrive.

Discovered: Fluro Cambrigde Satchel from NO. STONE, Greville St, Prahran

These boots just had me laughing and scared at the same time. They are from a store in the Australia On Collins shopping mall in the city. I have lost all the shop details but will be going back soon to take more photos. As the shoe collection was WOW with designs that looked like something from a Lady Ga Ga video and I can’t wait to go back.
