Friday Fashion Lovin’

It’s the weekend and let me introduce a few of my favourite fashion kicks that I have found during the week. This will become a weekly piece and they will be anything from the desirable to the weird, wacky or just plan awesome!

Just today I found my new winter boots. Ok, so it may be summer but in Melbourne the weather can change quicker than Julia Gillard doing a runner on Australia Day. This store I only discovered today in a beautiful laneway in the city. These boots are from Italian label Nylo and the photo does not do them justice as they need to be felt for the true feeling of how amazing they are. Found At: 124 Shoes, G4, 16-30 Russell Place, Melb, 3000

These satchels have become the quickest blast of colour to pop up all over the city. They have been selling out, so get in quick – if you see one snap it up! I first saw them in a store on Greville Street, went back two days later and the orange one was no longer available and they were waiting for more to arrive.

Discovered: Fluro Cambrigde Satchel from NO. STONE, Greville St, Prahran

These boots just had me laughing and scared at the same time. They are from a store in the Australia On Collins shopping mall in the city. I have lost all the shop details but will be going back soon to take more photos. As the shoe collection was WOW with designs that looked like something from a Lady Ga Ga video and I can’t wait to go back.

Style off the court

As we build up to the Australian Tennis Open in Melbourne, Andy Roddick has come out sporting a new sexy hairstyle – the Mohawk. It is always the ladies of the tennis circuit that steal the show with their sexy cut dresses and revealing style. So, it’s great to see one of the gents getting some attention. I actually like his new cut – it toughens up his image and I definitely like the unshaven look to match. See you court side.

Turn up the heat: Sizzling Swimwear

Summer is here – slip, slop, slap – and time to freshen up your swimwear collection. I was going to do a post on my pick of the hottest swimwear available. After a quick search through a selection of lookbooks there is one brand that really stands out from the rest in terms of fit, style and range. Funky Trunks have some beautiful photography to capture their summer collection and I must admit I am now a fan. The brand has delivered a very on-trend collection with a strong theme of clashing colour that has the fashion world abuzz this season.

Merry Xmas

Wishing you all a Merry Xmas and may 2012 bring all your wildest dreams to life.

It has been a great year for me and would like to send a huge THANK YOU to all my clients, customers, friends and family for helping me to continue on my creative journey. 2011 has been a massive year and I’m looking forward to 2012.

Have a safe, happy, indulgent and stylish festive season x x x

(The above picture is of the very expensive $200,000 Xmas lights at Flinders Station, Melbourne. But ain’t they pretty)

ps – Had to take Santa shopping the other day – trying to persuade him that I have been a really good boy x x x

Opening Celebration

I may be based in Melbourne but I still have a pulse on the fashion scene in the beautiful South Island of NZ. For the second year running Queenstown designer and model Terzann Elliot, pictured, will be taking her style to the southernmost city in the world – Invercargill. Her Lady Knuckles fashion label will be available in a pop up store in Cambridge Place. It will be the best place to buy your friends some fashion forward style for Xmas. She is having an opening celebration on Thursday 15 December, with the details on the flyer below – dancing and fashion will always mix!

Sweet like Chocolate City

Sweet like chocolate – the clothes may not be eatable, but this fashion is delicious.

I have fallen in love with the creative designs of Chocolate City.

Chocolate City director Richard Wiggan is the man banging out the fresh designs for men and women.

I become a fan for his fabulous use of colour and the original prints have me craving more. His summer collection has a strong music influence with Jimi Hendrix and Michael Jackson featuring in his designs. The clothes are nicely tailored and I love the low-cut necklines on the tees – SEXY!
